| Description | Mouldboards are fitted using cardboard discs. However, due to manufacturing tolerances each mouldboard is curved slightly differently. If a new mouldboard is fitted without cardboard discs, stresses will be created in the mouldboard, causing it to crack. At least one cardboard disc must therefore be placed between each bolt during mounting. If this is not sufficient, the space between the mouldboard and the body must be filled with more cardboard discs until there is no longer a gap. Afterwards do not overtighten the bolt as the cardboard discs also need to be able to absorb vibrations. |
