CR39 prevents metal splashes from sticking, and therefore remains transparent much longer than conventional mineral glass or PC (polycarbonate) screens. The material is temperature-resistant up to approx. 140°C. CR 39 is a thermosetting plastic, which means that the material does not melt but decomposes at temperatures above approx. 300°C. |
